WINTER RAPESEED: MODERN HYBRIDS, GROWING TECHNOLOGIES AND METHODS OF NUTRITION
Serhii VASYLENKO, Sumy National Agrarian University
In the article, a thorough analysis of modern winter rapeseed hybrids, their agrotechnological efficiency, and methods of fertilizing with the aim of optimizing the cultivation of this crop were investigated. The main attention is paid to the peculiarities of assimilation of nutrients, in particular nitrogen, as it is a key element for ensuring high plant productivity and reducing the negative impact on the environment. The importance of trace elements such as boron and sulfur, which affect the quality and quantity of the harvest, is considered separately. The latest approaches to rapeseed feeding, including the use of macro- and micronutrients, as well as the effectiveness of foliar feeding, were analyzed. The article also examines the impact of modern technologies of precise agriculture on crop productivity under climate change conditions. It is shown that soil moisture control technologies and irrigation systems are crucial to ensure stable rapeseed yields in different climate zones. Key aspects of adaptation of hybrids to climate change are highlighted, as well as their resistance to stressors such as drought, cold and pests. In addition, the impact of technological innovations on increasing the economic efficiency of rapeseed cultivation was studied, in particular, the introduction of biological plant protection and crop rotation as effective tools of ecological management of agricultural production. The importance of implementing organic farming, which ensures long-term soil fertility, minimizes the negative impact on the environment and contributes to the sustainable development of the agricultural sector, is emphasized. Research results confirm that the use of innovative agricultural technologies in combination with organic farming methods allows to achieve not only an increase in yield, but also an improvement in the quality of seeds, which is of particular importance for the production of oil and animal feed.
