REQUIREMENTS FOR ARTICLES  in a scientific-practical journal “Agricultural Science and Practice”

The journal publishes original scientific and scientific-practical articles on topical issues of crop production, agriculture, fodder production, agrochemistry, breeding, seed production, plant protection, physiology, biochemistry, feeding, breeding and selection of animal, agricultural economy.

Articles should be submitted in Ukrainian or English to the e-mail address  inagrokarpat@isgkr.com.ua  with a subject “Agroscience and Practice” in the form of a Word file.  6-12  A4 pages, Times New Roman size 10, text interval 1.0.  Fields: top/bottom – 2.5 cm, left/right – 2 cm.  To illustrate the material presented in the article, it is preferably to add 3-4 (maximum 9) original author’s photos in the form of attached files or an zip archive. Do not insert photos into Word, do not download them from the Internet! Articles designed without compliance with the requirements will be returned to the authors for revision. The article should include:

  • Copyright sign with the initials and surnames of the authors (a space is placed between the initials, a comma after the surname and the year at the end);
  • UDC index (normal font, left);
  • TITLE (capital letters, bold, center);
  • names and surnames of authors, scientific degrees (usual font, center);
  • name of the institution (usual font, center);
  • postal address of the institution, e-mail of the corresponding author (usual font, center);
  • annotation in Ukrainian (should be in one paragraph and not exceed 250 words; no references to tables, figures or bibliography; avoid non-standard or unusual abbreviations, but if they are significant, they should be identified at the first mention. Use the impersonal mode when writing (avoid using words such as “we”, “our”, “us”);
  • Keywords in Ukrainian (5-10 words or phrases);
  • Introduction (Section name – in sentence case without a period at the end, bold);
  • Materials and methods (Section name – in sentence case without a period at the end, bold);
  • Results and discussions (Section name – in sentence case without a period at the end, bold);
  • Conclusions (Section name – in sentence case without a period at the end, bold);
  • References in alphabetical order, minimum 15 sources, mostly (90%) new (last 10 years), which are included in the international scientometric databases, with references in the text. No more than 2 own publications of the authors are allowed; DOI number with available hyperlink is mandatory. All sources of literature should be submitted in English language only!
  • Аnnotation in English (must contain the TITLE of the article and full names of authors, name of the institution, a summary of the article with a minimum of 1000 characters (without spaces), the text – identical to the Ukrainian version);
  • Keywords in English (5-10 words or phrases).

Drawings or figures should be in Microsoft Graph or Microsoft Excel (add an Excel file with the source data to the letter). The width of figures and tables should match the text. Title – bold in the center. Do not scan tables. Do not give the same data in figures and tables. Bold or sparse fonts are not allowed. Notes – size 10. Paragraph indent – 1 cm. Do not number the pages.

File name – surname and initials of the first author in Latin letters (for example, Ivanenko I. I.).

On a separate sheet indicate the names, full names, patronymics of all co-authors, contact phone numbers, e-mail, mailing address to receive the journal, ORCID of the authors (if available).

For postgraduate and doctoral students indicate on the first page below the degree, initials and surname of the supervisor or consultant.

The content of the article must meet the requirements set out in the Bulletin of the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine (2003, № 1).

Authors are asked to carefully read their articles, check the accuracy of the scientific data and compliance with the requirements. The editors reserve the right to reject articles that do not meet the established requirements, to edit and shorten the submitted materials. Publication is free.
