FORMALIZED ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS IN THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR: STRATEGIC CHALLENGES FOR UKRAINE

Oleksandra PALENYCHAK, candidate of economic sciences Institute of Agriculture of Carpathian Region of NAAS

Abstract. Substantiation of the need to introduce new approaches to environmental management in Ukraine, as one of the most important areas of European integration processes, requires an analysis of legislative, institutional and organizational measures. Underestimation of environmental requirements in domestic agricultural production encourages the development and implementation of environmental policy at different levels of government, which would take into account the specifics of the industry, the priority of state support depending on the production and resource potential of various organizational and legal forms of management. EMAS and ISO 14001 are formalized and at the same time voluntary systems of continuous improvement of the ecological profile of the enterprise, which influence the production processes in order to minimize the negative impact on the environment and ensure high efficiency and competitiveness of agribusiness
