In the article for the first time the issue of studying the genetic potential of the new population of the created Bukovyna zonal type of meat hornless simmental cattle, which according to the intensity of growth of heifers with the newly formed genotype (Canadian simmental 3/4 Austrian Simmental 1/16 German Simmental 1/8 American Simmental 1/16) from birth to 7 months of age prevail by 3.4% (Р<0.001) of their improved peers with the genotype (combined simmental 1/32 Canadian simmental 27/32 Austrian simmental 1/32 German simmental 1/32 in the current breeding herd plant of SE “Chernivetske”. The difference is that with the increase of heredity in cattle of the new population with the genotype (Canadian simmental 3/4 Austrian simmental 1/16 German simmental 1/8 American simmental 1/16) their linear and mass dimensions increase, so the live weight increases by 15.5 kg, the height at the withers by 3.1 cm, the chest girth by 4.8 cm, the oblique length of the trunk and rear by 1.7 and 2.1, respectively. Overall dimensions by 13.5 cm with the effect of selection 903.3 UAH per 1 head per year.
